Legal
The following notes give a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website or make a submission through it. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.
This privacy policy explains which data we collect, what we use it for and on which legal basis the processing takes place.
Data on this website is processed by the controller. You will find the contact details in the section “Information on the controller” of this privacy policy.
Some of your data is collected because you provide it to us. This applies in particular to details you enter into our submission form or send to us by email.
Other data is recorded automatically by our technical systems when you visit the website. This is mainly technical access data, for example IP address, time of access, the URL requested and the user agent.
We use technical access data in order to provide the website securely, stably and in working order, to detect technical errors and to be able to trace misuse or attacks.
If you submit an event idea or a project through our submission form, we use your details to process the submission, to communicate with you and to organise the open call.
When the form is sent, emails are sent to us and to the person submitting. For this we use the email service of our hosting provider manitu.
Your user behaviour is not analysed for analytics, tracking or marketing purposes. We do not use cookies.
You have the right at any time to obtain information about the personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to have this data corrected, erased or its processing restricted.
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
Where processing is based on a legitimate interest, you may object to the processing under certain conditions.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

When our website is accessed, technically necessary access data is processed. This may include in particular:
This data is processed solely in order to provide the website technically, to ensure stable and secure operation, to analyse technical errors and to detect and trace misuse or attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and misuse-free operation of our website.
Server log files are usually deleted or anonymised after 14 days at the latest. They are kept longer only in individual cases, where this is necessary to investigate misuse, attacks or technical faults.
Where necessary, a data processing agreement is in place with manitu.
If you submit an event idea, a project or a collaboration through our submission form, we process the data you provide.
This may include in particular:
We use this data to process the submission, to review and select projects, to communicate with those submitting, to arrange possible venues and to organise and run the open call.
When the form is sent, the details are transmitted to us by email. In addition, a confirmation email may be sent to the person submitting.
For sending and receiving these emails we use the email service of manitu GmbH, Welvertstraße 2, 66606 St. Wendel, Germany.
This may involve processing the content entered in the form, the email address of the person submitting, our recipient address, subject lines, times of sending and technical email metadata.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as processing is necessary for pre-contractual measures or to prepare a possible collaboration. Otherwise processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in organising, running and documenting the open call and in communicating with those who submit.
Data is only passed on where this is necessary for processing, selection, coordination or delivery. Recipients may in particular be the project team of Tage der Jugendkulturen, Stiftung Kulturator, the Jugendkulturwerk of the City of Munich as well as participating cooperation partners or venues.
Submissions that are not selected are deleted after the respective open call has ended, at the latest after 6 months, unless there is further communication, consent or a statutory retention obligation.
Data relating to selected projects may be stored for the duration of the collaboration and beyond, where this is necessary for delivery, accounting, documentation or to meet legal obligations.
If you contact us by email, we process the personal data you send us in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions.
This may include your name, email address, the content of the message and any further details you provide voluntarily.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as your message relates to a possible collaboration, submission or other pre-contractual measure. In all other cases processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in handling and answering enquiries addressed to us.
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for processing, unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons for longer storage apply.

Where processors are used, processing takes place on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, we store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes.
If you make a legitimate request for erasure or withdraw consent to data processing, we will delete your personal data unless there are legally permissible reasons for storing it further. Such reasons may in particular be statutory retention periods, obligations to provide evidence, or the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
The relevant legal basis is named in the individual sections of this privacy policy.
Where data processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
The lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected.
Where data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data on grounds arising from your particular situation.
If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
Within the scope of the applicable law you have the right at any time to information about the personal data we hold about you.
You also have the right to have incorrect data corrected and your personal data erased, unless statutory retention obligations or other legally permissible reasons prevent this.
You can contact us at any time about this and about any other questions on data protection.
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
This right applies in particular in the following cases:
If processing has been restricted, the data may — apart from being stored — only be processed with your consent, to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, to protect the rights of another person, or for reasons of important public interest.
You have the right to receive data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or to perform a contract in a common, machine-readable format, or to have it transferred to another controller, where this is technically feasible.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
You can turn in particular to the supervisory authority of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
